The use of chatgpt as a teaching tool: Pedagogical possibilities and challenges

Abstract

This article examines the pedagogical possibilities and challenges of using ChatGPT as a teaching tool in modern education. The focus is placed on identifying psychological and pedagogical conditions that enhance the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in the learning process. The article also discusses the risks associated with academic dishonesty, overreliance on AI, and misinformation generated by ChatGPT. It is argued that AI should serve as an assistive tool rather than a replacement for educators, and that successful integration requires the digital competence of teachers, a supportive institutional environment, and well–defined psychological and pedagogical conditions.
